Brewers Fayre Burton House - Boston

Today, I was rather disappointed with my experience at the restaurant. We had made a reservation for 4pm, but when we placed our order, there was a mix-up and only one portion was ordered instead of two. This resulted in us having to wait for another portion to be cooked. Despite choosing the carvery option, we found that there was a limited selection as two out of the three choices of meat had run out, and only potatoes were left as vegetables. It was clear that the restaurant had been busier than anticipated, and the staff were very apologetic. I must commend the staff for their understanding and support, and would give them 5 stars for their service. Special mention goes to Stacey, the General Manager, who handled the situation with fairness. Well done to Stacey and the staff for managing a challenging day.

We invited friends to join us for a meal at this restaurant, but unfortunately, the food was cold when it finally arrived, even though it was cooked properly. This is not acceptable when dining out. The staff only offered the excuse that they had been busy. We were very disappointed and decided that we will not be returning for another meal.

We stopped en-route to the coast at about 3 o’clock in the afternoon to break the journey. Food ordered from the 2 for £11-49 menu arrived promptly served by a very polite waiter. The meals were hot and tasty and well worth the money. As the driver I opted for a cappuccino to drink, duly dispensed by machine, however I found this to be quite weak. Thinking about it I suppose I should’ve added a shot of espresso. If we happened to be passing again and wanted to eat we would def stop again

What a fabulous pub! The staff were absolutely great. Really helpful , pleasant and engaging. The food was also brilliant. Good size portions fresh from the kitchen and piping hot. The menu is varied and good quality and the drink offering is also broad. But what stands out is the attitude of the staff. It’s really refreshing to visit a pub where all the staff are so helpful and clearly want to do a good job. I would recommend this place to you if you’re ever in the Boston area. It’s well worth a visit.

Staff are very friendly, can't do enough for you. Went for lunch with friends 2 for £10 on cocktails too, bonus. Excellent value for 2 meals at 11.49. Would definitely recommend, all round cheap and cheerful.
