Thatched Cottage - Boston

My wife and children came out a few weeks ago for our jubilee meal. it's my first time, and we both enjoyed it very much. the lady who served us was polite, very attentive and kept our children entertaining every time they came to serve us. I had the mackerel pate for the starter, with the lamb rump for the head. Normally I don't really like to laugh, but saw another customer order and it looked so good, I asked her what she had ordered and got the same herself. it was absolutely perfect cooked, a huge piece of meat, beautiful medium rare, juicy, well seasoned and came with a potato terrine for which I must find the recipe, it was so good. my wife had the spiced pork bells for the starter after some encouragement of me (I wanted to try a bit) and for the main the chicken superb with chorizo, new kartoffels and a beautiful cream sauce, all served in a baked dish. they said it was the best meal we ever had. both children had sausage and maic, and we all had brownie for the desert. I'm not a sweet person, but thought the rest of the food was so good, I'll get something from the sweet menu also (and I was right) meal came to about £80 overall, slightly expensive, but I don't have a problem to pay much for food of this quality. I'm trying to find a way to go.

We came to Sunday dinner today. we were a big table of 11 and can not mistake the service as it was excellent. friendly staff who was very friendly and chatting. that was delicious. beautiful inside and outside! we will definitely recommend again and very much. thanks and well done

Had only a pleasant bar meal. first visit since the opening. a beautiful renovation! Remember, duck or grouse for the low beams when they are big! a warm welcome from friendly staff. good food and good beer doom bar and black sheep real ale! look forward to our next visit.

Just returned home after a lovely meal at the Thatched Cottage which has undergone a complete transformation. Food and service was all very good and would recommend a visit. Well done Thatched Cottage you deserve to succeed.
