The Shake Shak - Boswell

We really enjoy the variety of hand-dipped and soft serve flavors offered here!

This restaurant used to be excellent, especially for their reasonably sized ice cream cones. Unfortunately, they now only offer one size, which is essentially a small despite being labeled as small, medium, and large. Each cone costs $3.35, but the girl who took my order didn't even charge us the correct price. My husband ordered cheesecake but received cotton candy instead, and I asked for cake batter but got plain vanilla. It was really disappointing.

1. The prices are incredibly affordable. 2. The ice cream quality is smooth and creamy—I'd confidently say it's the best around, no exaggeration. 3. The wait staff are eager to take orders and are knowledgeable about the menu. 4. Wait times are short, as the employees have a quick turnaround. 5. Kids are entertained with a slide, grassy areas to play in, and swings. 6. There are plenty of picnic tables, each equipped with an umbrella for shade, and the seating area is decorated with party lights, making it a relaxing spot. 7. They also sell fishing bait, although it's not in the same building, which is convenient since the creek is just down the road. 8. And most importantly, they provide color-changing spoons—not just for kids; everyone gets one with their dish! In my honest opinion, the Shake Shak is the best place for a family treat night. It's more affordable and offers better quality, along with friendlier staff, than Krause's in Jennerstown or the Train Station in Berlin. I’ll share photos on my next visit. Their soft serve is very good. And the prices aren't bad either. They serve Hershey's hand-dipped ice cream. I had yummy Moose Tracks!!

This is a great spot for ice cream, and if you're feeling hungry, they also offer hot dogs and burgers. There are fun play areas to keep the kids entertained while you enjoy a sundae.
