Metigoshe Drive-in - Bottineau County

No Debit/Credit Cards Accepted. Welcome to 2024. Don't know how the food or service was because in June 2024 you could not buy anything with a Debit/Credit card.

I visit this drive in mostly because it's the only drive inn on the lake. And my kids like ice cream. However, the service here with the most recent owner has gone drastically down hill. They are SO BUSY (HOW??? No other drive inn . It's easy to deep fry garbage food and serve soft serve. It's not so easy to make an excellent burger. They put the mushy velveeta cheese on the BOTTOM of the meat (AGAIN WHY? on a dry non-toasted bun. Their pizza burger is a horrid concoction of pizza sauce on a burger. (Popular...WHY?? PLEASE do yourself a favor and just grill your own burgers. Trust me, they will me MUCH MUCH better and without a 50 minute wait and rude service.

Quaint, busy little place off Lake Metigoshe. Serves food and ice cream. The wait is long, but worth it if you have the patience. Plenty of tables to sit while you wait or if you want to stay and eat.

I'm giving these scores because it is pretty much exactly what you think it would be. No pretense, no gimmick. It looks like a sweet takeout spot at the lake, with delicious food, outdoor seating, and that's precisely what it is. And so enjoyable. That's my experience

Got there right when they opened and there was only one other vehicle and still waited a good 20 min for food. Had the pizza burger and it was dry and flavorless seemed as if it was pre made or frozen not fresh. Also ordered a grilled cheese that wasn't anything special because the bread was like cheap bread you get at Walmart and you pay way more than you should for something I could have made at home that would have tasted better. From now on I'll only go there for ice cream.
