At 2:30 p.m. we decided to dive into this café for lunch, as it was really close to our apartment. A very sweet and friendly...Waitress sat and gave us the menu and took our order. It is advertised as open all day, so maybe naive we assumed that they served food in the meantime. But the cook that was just out of the eyes, but clearly audible when he noticed us, began to throw the most massive Strop screams and throw pans etc. over. It's not a big place at all, so he needs to know that we can hear him clearly. He might not know or took care of reasonable French. At this stage we really didn't know if we were looking elsewhere or staying for the show. However, we decided to stay as he had clearly begun to prep the food, although quite loud. He was really very unpleasant for the poor waitress who screamed like a child. Everything very strange in my view, especially when in the ear shot of paying customers. Anyway, food came, which was good. We ate pretty fast and left after a big tip on the poor waitress. We found the whole thing quite strange and a bit amusing and certainly had a meeting point for friends later this day. The boss is a bit of an idiot, but can cook. As long as you can tolerate a gentle abuse, I would recommend.
We have spent 2 month in Boulogne with my brother and We 've had very good moments here . From Boul bill with love cheers from the mousse brothers
We found Le Tilleul on Trip Advisor and decided to take a chance. We were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was clean modern and welcoming. We were greeted by the owner and his wife by the cook and they made us feel so welcome. We did not speak French, but he spoke so well with us and made us welcome. We had the steak and pommes and the fish with black rice. It was so delicious that we came back tonight. Had the same meal. Unbelievable. 2 times from 3 nights in Paris. From this wine to delicious food to the welcoming service you cannot go wrong. I'll be back on my next trip to Paris. The best food we had in Paris.
Found the bar/restaurant after a day in Roland Garros. We were the first customers of the evening service and sat outside and watched Paris live. We had a friendly, excellent service throughout and the food was tasty and worth the menu price. Would definitely recommend.
Just 100m walk from Roland Garros. Open and airy feel due to large mirror. Friendly owner made us a lovely ice cream/strawberry/cream dessert.
