I ordered my favorite pizza 'une lorraine and it was nothing like before. it was just a mass of stone cheese and ham. the service is very good, but I don't know if I want to try a pizza again. better pizzas can be made at the same price in a small restaurant in a nearby village. I cannot believe that the owners of my favorite restaurant in bourganeuf, it closed to take over the stade and have spoiled it.
We ended here with two grown-ups and our 7-year-old son. he had a pizza en we had the steak tarts and art fillet. our food was great, the pizza was ok; I guess it's just different than our son. used in the lowlands. the service was amazing, done by two ladies. one of them spoke English very well. but the other was also very helpful in French. they have a beautiful garden to sit in the back. enjoyed eating, service and ambiente. love the fact that they get water everywhere without paying for it. the total invoice was €70, that was all worth it.
I have visited this restaurant on numerous occaisions over the past 3 years. My two latest visits were in April 2015. The pizzas are excellent and I can highly recommend them. Sometimes, for a change I have an omelette and chips, these can also be...recommended. The prices are reasonable and the service is efficient. The wine served en pichet' is most acceptable. The draught beer served is Leffe. This restaurant obviously has a large number of French customers but there are many evenings when they are outnumbered by English customers. The local Anglo French Society dine here as group once or twice a month. I will be returning to du Stade the next time I am staying in Bourganeuf.
Although this is my first assessment, I have been in the rule on a Wednesday that is market day for years. the pizzas are the best I had everywhere and never disappointed, as well as reasonable prices. a plus is that they are available in medium and large size and that is always enough for me. the kitchen and table service is always fast and efficient and the charming waitress, which has been close for 15 years, like a gray dog (and has a gray dog shape, now I come to think about it). However, the owners are looking to go to rest and the pizzeria is for sale as a comprehensive care. I very much hope that the chef who takes the takeover has the same touch as the present one.
This restaurant was recommended by a local goodwilled as his wife favorites, so we decided to give it a try. Frankreich seems to be much more relaxed about allowing dogs in restaurants, so we were happy that our dog was allowed. we sat in the outside terrace when it was a nice day, and the environment was beautiful. I enjoyed watching a huh or two in the garden next door! the pizzas we ordered were delicious and a good price, and the whole experience was very pleasant, with friendly staff and a relaxed ambiente. I will soon live in the opposite and be a rule!
