Brookside Golf Club - Bourne

Played Brookside today I’m a senior golfer, who is partially disabled I was welcomed by the cart person who got my Handicap flag .Later on the range the starter set us up with our playing partners we played had a really good time course was in great shape.I’m so impressed I’m trying to convince my wife I should join this club I’ve played a lot of HighEnd courses all over the place this course is right up there .Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

Garbage course, priced like a quality one but runs and set up like a second hand course. Have played here many times and even had our wedding reception at, but I have never see it so bad. Took nearly 3 hours to play nine holes. Even called pro desk about course play and they didn’t care. Your better off playing Any other club than this one because they don’t know how to manage their course to set tie times right. Will probably never play here again. Rather play the base, Paul Harney, Cape Club or literally any other course. Went way down hill and not sure why but sad.

Leaving this at 2 stars for now, this course is “usually” great but today it was terrible. I don’t know what you guys are trying to do putting all the holes either on a hill or 8 feet from the fringe but it ruins the greatness of this course. I played with 3 buddies today, we’re all around 10 HC’s but the greens cost us a lot of strokes. A few of them were so poorly placed that if you putt your ball just a little off it was completely rolling down a hill or off the green. This isn’t a TPC course, the greens don’t need to placed as if you were expecting PGA players. I hit 2 putts on 2 different holes that started to settle a foot from the pin and rolled 40 feet down a hill, especially hole 9, really takes the fun out of it. Talking to a few other locals they felt the same. I will update this to 5 stars when those are fixed, a lot of regulars are going to stop playing here and first come timers won’t come back when they realize Plymouth courses and surrounding areas are just as nice and the same price but much more well setup.

Very Challenging course, not five stars because pace of play was terrible, had to go home on hole 13 because I was tired of waiting. I know it's off season, but there was little effort in maintaining pace of play.

What a great course to play. Plenty of room for improvement on this course.
