Well the Cafe was closed, but the bakery was open and selling their spicey peanut soup don't remember what it is actually called) Every one says give these places your support, well I think they are just taking advantage. I bought a large soup, $12.50 they told me no chicken in it today , once home, I opened it up to find they had over half way filled it with rice, there was maybe 1 1/2cups of actual soup. The sandwich was small maybe 6 at best) once again no meat, Artichoke, Peppers, Pesto cheese although I didn't find any cheese either) this sandwich was $15.00! I also got a scone, which she said was a day old scone, but charged me the same price as a fresh one, the grand total over $32 for a to go lunch. Then they turn the credit card machine around and expected a tip on top of it! After charging ME to use my credit card. I will no longer be giving the Rhody Bakery or Cafe my business. Maybe if more people did that, they wouldn't be so greedy. They have raised their prices, yet, they don't have to pay wait staff, kitchen staff.
Looking for a scenic drive from King County my partner and I consulted a travel book and drove 50 miles north to Rhododendron Rhody Cafe. First of all, don 't you dare take I-5 if you can afford spending a little extra time on the back roads. Driving along the rural coast is cathartic to say the least. Rhody operates with seasonal menus and offers locally made brews and spirits. Consensus: I love eating locally sourced food in quaint and cozy places, especially when it 's delicious. Simply delicious.
Had the best breakfast and such great friendly service!!
Yum! Had the mussels and cobbler. Both highly recommended.
