Birds Fish - Bowen

Indisputable secret of Bowen and well worth the drive up from Airlie beach. Local caught Spanish Mackerel and chips with a wedge of local lemon. Crispy and delicious. Easily in my top 3 of all time.

Generally very happy with the meals here. However, on Tuesday night, we ordered 3 pieces of red throat emperor and a scoop of chips with chicken salt and 6 prawn cutlets. There was no salt on the chips and had trouble finding the 3 pieces of very small fish. $86 for a very disappointing meal. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–40
