Comfort Inn Conference Center - Bowie

I didn't rate it very highly because of a few odd things. For example, there’s a sign stating that if you take the free breakfast outside of the designated area, they will review the security footage and could ban you from returning. It's also hard to pinpoint whether it was the walls or the floors, but I could literally feel the bed shake whenever someone slammed a door or walked heavily in the hallway. Additionally, it's strange that they lock away the iron and hangers; I’ve traveled extensively and have never encountered that in any other hotel. Overall, it was a decent place to rest my head for a two-day trip.

To make matters worse, the staff appeared to treat this situation as though it were normal. They even laughed as they showed me the security footage, casually mentioning that these events happen frequently. Despite the significant inconvenience, I received no compensation for my troubles, even though I paid full price for my stay. I also had to cover the cost of repairing my car window since I was about to embark on a 15-hour drive back home. This hotel clearly does not prioritize safety. For 50 minutes, security was oblivious while cars were vandalized right outside the entrance. I strongly advise against staying here; they have serious security and safety issues. As someone who works in the hotel industry, I can assure you that such incidents would never be tolerated at a reputable establishment.

When it came time to check out this morning, there was no one at the front desk. We waited until a man walked in and asked if we were checking out. I confirmed we were, and he only instructed me to leave the key on the counter. He didn’t ask how our stay was or offer us a receipt—nothing at all! We will never again choose to stay at a Choice Hotel. They need to do better.

Very friendly staff with large and relatively clean rooms. Very comfortable and clean beds. Slightly dated decor, but still a good value. Had to change rooms because of an overly noisy ice maker down the hall (which they did graciously and promptly), but the next room was great and comfortable.Rooms: 4/5

All I can say is that this is one of the best comfort in I stayed at. Great customer service night worker. Great guy. And the day manager was very helpful. Thank you can't wait to come back.Rooms: 5/5
