My experience eating here was nothing short of sublime ! The tastiest vegan nacho bowl ! Highly recommend this spot :
We stumbled across this gem on our way to Bowral and we were blown away with the food! It is rare to find food created with intention and health at its core. We had the living bruschetta with seeded bread this bread is gluten free and alive! It was so nutrient dense we felt so good afterwards! The topping was so tasty it 's hard to believe the ingredients are all good for you and your gut! We also had the nachos which had the most delicious vegan cheese! The Sticky Chai on oat milk was heaven to drink and the Snickers slice was just divine! The only thing better than the food was the customer service and the food was a 10 out of 10. The warm reception we received having travelled from Sydney was so lovely and the gorgeous young guy at the front was just the sweetest and most accommodating soul. He brought all our food to the outdoor table and explained our juices took a little longer because they are cold pressed which is more nutritious! Oh and absolutely no dairy milk is served for their coffee and beverages like some other 'vegan ' cafes. So much respect for embodying the change despite the demand for dairy by the masses! Amazing selection of delicious cakes and treats. Can't wait to go back and try their other menu options...bruschetta and nachos looked awesome
This cafe used to have a fully plant based menu. It was always a shame they served cow 's milk in the coffee, but their signs advertised that they were plant based and everything on the menu was vegan. The cafe was always busy and they even moved to a new location which had way more foot traffic and it was often hard to get a seat. But then came the day when they dined and dashed on their own morals. Eggs were added to the menu, then non vegan cookies and now you actually have to ask if there is a vegan option for items on the menu. It 's like playing vegan roulette. Will my brownie contribute to animal suffering today or not? Who knows? When I asked why they added eggs onto the menu, the staff member was defensive and rude and huffed that they had to make more money. What a shame the animals ' lives are worth so little to this business. At the time of this review they still have signs up saying plant based when that is not the case. It seems that they built their business by appealing to those who care for the animals and the environment and then betraying those same animals. Yes, the eggs are 'free range ', but I doubt anyone on this website has to be reminded that even hens from free range farms get sent to slaughter at 18 months and that all male chicks are killed at the hatchery. The food has also gone downhill since they moved. Since the cook from their old location left, the nachos and loaded fries went from chef 's kiss to slop du jour. I 'd love to see this business lean back into their plant based angle, but I predict that before too long it will be like many other cafes in the area overpriced, bog standard food and reliant on animal suffering. What a disappointing backwards step.
