Merville General Store - BOWSER

При ней находится небольшое кафе, магазин, почтовое отделение и ветеринарная клиника. В кафе Вам предложат недорогой завтрак или обед. Это кафе имеет и своих завсегдатаев. Жареная картошка в кожуре, конечно беком (куда же без него!), яичница и чашка кофе. Кофе Вам будут подливать без ограничения, пока Вы не скажете, что хватит. Интересной достопримечательностью кафе являются пластиковые маты на столиках под которыми лежат газеты начала века. Интересно почитать местные новости полувековой давности. Еда домашняя, простая и недорогая.

We have friends that live very close to this cafe and it was there choice to meet at Merville General Store for lunch. According to our friends, the current owners are doing a great job. I had a delicious grilled chicken breast burger with a fresh green salad. My friends meals also were very tasty. The current owners have spruced up the seating and greatly improved the ambience. As other postings mention, the cafe is not very big and is part of a true general store with groceries, beer sales, post office and other odds and ends. The bakery items were very tempting - maybe another day!

Merville General Store serves an area, rather than a village, as there is no village in the vicinity. It also supplies gas and essentials in food and liquor. The food area is small maybe a half dozen tables, but has great grub, and that is what it is, grub. Nothing fancy just plain good eating that fills a hole. Would recommend it for anyone who is passing up the old highway between Courtenay and Campbell River.

A small cafe inside the Merville General Store, with long opening hours,something like 7am-8pm 7 days a week! Home-cooked food, good home-baking, great hand cut fries, house-made chicken strips, generous servings, daily specials, gluten-free bread available and staff willing to adapt most orders to make it gluten-free. Very friendly and pleasant. Better `diner`type food that you`d get in most diners, not greasy, fresh and homemade style. Breakfasts highly rated, plus they`re available all day!

Have been here a few times and the food is good. nothing fancy but good food. not a big selection but still something for everyone. good baked items and good service. a lot of locals people seems to be there. Just a good old fashion country diner.
