The mascot of this establishment is shockingly racist. Instead of issuing a proper apology and taking the opportunity to educate themselves, they chose to delete their Facebook page to avoid addressing the issue, and many of the local patrons have only increased their support for it. As a native of this city, I find it deeply disturbing to see this imagery in my community.

We had a fantastic meal at this lively restaurant and bar. As former residents of the Grand Rapids area, we wanted to reconnect with some local favorites. The staff was friendly and everyone enjoyed their food. We tried the hamburger steak, sirloin steak, and the ribs with shrimp, and they were all excellent. Be sure to order the au gratin potatoes—they were delicious! Many restaurants in Grand Rapids could benefit from having such a skilled cook. Thank you for a wonderful visit!
