Uncle Albert's Fried Chicken - Boyce

Back in the early to mid 1970s there was an Uncle Albert's Peace Chicken in Natchitoches, LA on the 2nd. Street/Lafayette street near downtown, right next to the Kroger supermarket (where I got my first paycheck job, while in high school). The Uncle Alberts we had was strictly in and out, but I would normally go there when I had an hour of rest from work to buy her roasted chicken and pommes, bread roll. The food was always fresh and hot. I have never forgotten the great service and excellent quality food from this facility!

The best roasted chicken in the area!. Much better than Popeyes, miles better than KFC. The prices are excellent. Hard potatoes engraving are excellent. The best fried catfish in the area. Good steak sandwich. Drinks are nice. Drive thru, get or eat.

It’s true! The best fried chicken in town! Flakey and crispy without being greasy. Truly delicious.
