China Lane - Boynton Beach

I dined at this restaurant on Friday night. It was crowded, as we are in peak season with tourists. The food was delicious, but I felt a bit hurried even though we were there towards the end of the dinner rush. The owner was very friendly and made our evening enjoyable. It was a pleasant way to spend a Friday night.

I visited this restaurant on October 4th, 2012 for the first and only time. The fried rice was stale and cold, and the beef in the beef and vegetable dish was chewy. Adding to my disappointment, a cockroach scurried across the table while I was eating. I requested the bill, abandoned my meal, paid, and have no intentions of returning.

I ordered a vegetarian dish to go and informed the staff that I am a vegetarian. Unfortunately, I received my takeout order without even a napkin. After taking a few bites, I was so disappointed with the meal that I ended up throwing it out. When I asked for a refund, the staff member informed me that it wasn't possible. This is why I felt compelled to write this review in frustration.
