The pastry was a little overpowering but the escargot were plentiful. My wife ordered a broiled whole lobster. It is unusual to see lobster being broiled but it is how she prefers it. She enjoyed it along with a twice stuffed potato. I had the grilled swordfish with mashed potatoes which was excellent. Service was friendly and efficient.
I will begin the review with my swordfish was excellent. Expert grill preparation, exactly as I ordered and expected. Very fresh, very moist, very tender with great, I mean great, flavor..... but there are some caveats. First, parking is a BEAR if you don 't pony up for the valet. Second, as we arrived after the long walk through the adjacent strip mall parking lot, a large crowd of elderly folks poured out and stood blocking the entrance, chatting, oblivious to us..... made me wonder what we were getting into! Clearly this place has been a retiree 's destination for many years-and as one reviewer noted hasn 't been ' freshened up ' in a while. Third, the wait staff were tired and cranky after the 'early bird ' rush and our service suffered. However, in spite of all that, the view was amazing (sunset! and the food all around the table was well worth the entree price. We gave 125.00 for three middle priced fish dishes, a couple of drinks, no dessert, with the tip. We could have done A LOT more damage to the company AmEx, but I was very satisfied without doing the 45 dollar surf and turf...or the 75.00 bottle of wine. You won 't regret any fish choice on the menu..... just get it grilled without screwing it up with blackening or frying.... a nice find!
What year is this?. The food and service were great, but why does it look like a retirement home in there?
Okay.... First, make a reservation! They are always packed and if you do not make a reservation, you will end up waiting for more than an hour.<br/ <br/ If you can, get a seat by the water, it is beautiful. There aren't TOO many items on the menu, which is a bit disappointing, but the food is good.<br/ <br/ Very expensive and you do not get much.
Good Enough to Go Back. I just tried Prime Catch this evening and I'm trying to figure out what all the whining is about here. It was good and I'd go back. Was it perfect or top-notch? No. Was it very good and good enough to go back again? Yes. Father's Day so it was busy. I had stuffed shrimp. I will say that there were only 3 and for the price, there could have been at least one more. But then again, if you include the salad and side dishes, I don't know if I could have eaten another one anyway. Just for the price, they could have included 1 or 2 more. But the taste and cooking was one of the best stuffed shrimps I've ever had. Both my dinner companions had the shrimp scampi over pasta which they both said was excellent. In their case, 5 large shrimp (too much to finish .<br/ <br/ Service was good, but at times ... it took a long time for the waitress to come back (after leaving the check, e.g. . But the service was attentive, water was refilled without asking, another glass of wine was offered, etc.<br/ <br/ It is pricey, but the food was very good and it would be worth going back to.
