This evenings dasher, Samantha, was exemplary. She messaged us throughout the process, keeping us up to date in our order status and was gem upon delivery. Make certain to order the hush puppies. Theyre a family favorite.
The barrias were straight salt which is unlike Bourbon normally but at least the Sandwich was good. I didnt get to eat anything because of how much salt was dumped onto my plate.
Very disappointing. The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich was small, very dry, and not particularly flavorful. A sparse handful of cold fries. Felt like a bait and switch with the photo provided by the restaurant. Edible but would not recommend. Also was shorted sauce that cost extra.
The collard greens were amazing. The mac and cheese was better than average. The fried chicken may have been the worst I have ever had worse than stuff that has been sitting under a heat lamp at a gas station for 8 hours. It was obviously extremely overcooked to the eye even before I took a bite, which makes me wonder why it went out the door in the first place. The skin and breading shattered on the first bite and fell away, leaving a dry, jerky like overcooked meat underneath. I get the occasional kitchen problem with an overcooked batch but sending it out the door as ugly as it visually looked is poor form. Will not order again despite how amazing the collard greens were.
I love food and the experiences dining in at Bourbon has always been such a delight for me as a customer but the doordash experience of course wont ever be the exact same as dining in and feeling the aura of the group of singles, group of friends and even families in to have a great night as well but, our Deviled Eggs were very salty to my liking and thats a dish I truly love just tasted like buffalo wings very sour absolutely not recommending deviled eggs.
