I don't like Starbucks coffee very much at all as a barista myself, but this Starbucks actually made a very good peppermint mocha. Although they aren't really that difficult to mess up, it was perfect to jump start my day onto the next round of driving a few hundred miles. Starbucks is always a quick option that won't let you down if you choose certain coffees. However, most Starbucks I've been to have these coffee grinder/shot machines that grind, press and pull the shots of coffee through a computer. So the taste can be the same for all stores and a little weird for that matter but can loose that rich fine tuning of fresh coffee that a computer can fail to replicate easily.
I dropped by to grab a couple of drinks and was welcomed by a friendly barista who took her time with my young daughter, making sure she felt comfortable ordering. The drinks were great as well!
They definitely know what they’re doing. Personally, I prefer local places overall. However, with Starbucks, you always know what to expect. Their consistency is impressive. They’ve really expanded globally, which bothers some of my friends, but that’s just the way corporate America operates. These guys do charge more than nearly every other coffee shop in town.
Delicious! Just a heads-up: not all Starbucks locations in supermarkets take part in promotions, so keep that in mind. On the bright side, the coffee shop area with its cozy fireplace and plenty of sunlight is very charming.
