Wasabi Japanese Steak House - Bozeman

Skip this place. The floors are sticky. I hate when you walk in and squeak. My fork had something stuck to it. Not clean. The service was good. The food NO! The miso had no flavor. The seaweed was too thick and chewy. The salad looked good, but had no flavor. The chicken was okay, but the rice and vegetables had no seasoning, and were bland. Worst was the sushi... if you can call it that. Id ordered the 3 rolls Spicy tuna, spicy salmon and spicy yellowtail. The waiter did not tell me which was which when he spaced them on the table. These are three very different fish. Why did they taste the same, with little to no spicy? It's because they had been blended with a crunchy rice mixture. Cheap version of sushi with no flavor. I did not like this at all!

Loved my Yellowstone roll and avocado salad. A lot of avocados!!! I'd definitely return.

This was A really cute Japanese Steakhouse! Everything was really clean. It was nice seeing a chef cook in front of us. I really enjoyed my shrimp and chicken entree. It also came with fried rice, miso soup, salad, noodles, and veggies. I also got gyoza, California rolls, and raw tuna. thought the sauces were really good! I thought the chicken was a little tough as well as the vegetables. I really enjoyed the gyoza and noodles as well. The waitress wasn't really present and she got our order wrong at first. Thankfully, the chef had corrected it. The waitress wasn't really present and didn't ask if we needed anything. Other than that, I don't know if I would go there again.

We walked in hoping to do hibachi but they were only doing that with reservations. They had open tables but not enough chefs. We opted to wait for a regular table. The place was packed. A very good sign. The ambiance was nice and elegant. Once seated, our server took care of us throughout the evening and was attentive to our needs. The food was generally pretty good but there were some misses which can be attributed to tastes. Overall they did a nice job and everything looked great. The only strange thing was the rolls and sashimi were quite big. Usually the proportions are smaller so in the respect it was a bit of a mouthful. My favorite roll was the volcano roll. The sexy girl roll was a bit of a miss as the strawberry didn't quite work in my opinion. We had dessert, sticky toffee pudding which was great. This place is pretty solid and I would definitely recommend it.
