TL;DR: We have got ourselves a great little find. Too often with the pizza orders, one or two end up coming out on top, with several more being along the wayside. If that maxim of the weakest link held, then the chain here is a strong one indeed. Not only that but the whole process from kitchen to handoff was perfect. <br/ <br/ From the mere looks of it here, you could almost write this off as more of the same. These suburban pizza joints often have the same sort of vibe, wholesome and might be able to provide a decent feed at a moment 's notice. However, something about them may or may not pop out but that is not the case with Big Boss Pizza. I can 't talk about the kitchen or the decor since we are discussing delivery here. However, I felt an energy and a love through each recipe, so I have an inkling Big Boss is not going away any time soon. <br/ <br/ The week had been a bit on the crazy side, having to coincide with one of the biggest wrestling weekends of the year. That was the second banana to Wrestlemania, SummerSlam. That is one of the 'Big Four ' they put out each year, and when it comes to those Big Four, the plan has a change of pace. Getting some UberEats and whatnot goes as such, but specifically, pizza is the choice. For every fight that is on the card, the pre show notwithstanding, there is something ordered for each one. <br/ <br/ Even more so now, I start to count my blessings for given situations. Had I been watching the event live as it happened, the pickings of pizza would have been slim. I sure as heck would not have been able to get any from Big Boss, that is for sure. It was one place I had looked forward to getting delivered, so this was the perfect chance if any did exist. Right off the bat, it was onto UberEats and plugging that big order right in. There is a reason for pizza 's popularity and why people fall back on it so much. There is that blue joke about lousy pizza, but Big Boss ain 't that kind of pizza instead, it was some of the tastiest and most lively that I have had in such a long time. <br/ <br/ I 'll level with the people here for a bit when putting in a big order such as this; I have a slight bit of apprehension about it. That has to do with it going through, and how the ordering process goes. For this time around, I did not need to worry my head in any way. It was one of the smoothest operations in food delivery I have been behind, and the handoff was perfect completed the lithe momentum, with the best factor being present. It was still piping hot and looked mouth watering. <br/ <br/ Unlike many pizza places I have experienced during my time, Big Boss keeps right in their lane. That means no wings, no ribs, or any of that jazz. Instead, it is various kinds of pizza with a specialty range and a gourmet range, offering classics and innovative varieties. From what I have read, they also provide manoush (a Middle Eastern take on pizza, definitely worth a try); though on the UberEats platform, I didn 't see any presence of manoush. <br/ <br/ For this event and this dinner, it was seven tasty choices for seven exhilarating fights. Each of them was just as good as the last. It could have well been the jackpot, since while there was not an absolute standout per se, instead none of them felt like second bananas. Well, they do say consistency is vital and they were consistently good. <br/ <br/ Even when ordering the smallest size which is roughly 11 inches these pizzas are still a reasonable portion and filling. The crust is a regular pan thickness then the toppings placed on top are virtually covering the whole surface. These are plentiful, and well chosen sometimes there is a fair few on top, sometimes it is maybe two or three at most. If the truth be told already, that gets them a mark over other competitors. Big Boss does not have the pitfall in thinking 'more is more '. After coming out of the oven, the cheese is bubbling finishing off the product. <br/ <br/ There will always be a few varieties that I keep on back up. Those include some form of garlic bread, this time around it was garlic and cheese pizza, the supreme (reserved for when the top championship is on the line), and my favourite a pepperoni with anchovies. <br/ <br/ We may as well get them out of the way then. The garlic and cheese pizza was as simple as it was delicious. On the pizza base a lot of minced garlic, then a thin sprinkling of parmesan cheese, and possibly a finish of herbs just for good measure. Again, simple and delicious, this was a warm up to the rest. <br/ <br/ Pepperoni pizza, what needs to be said? It consists of cheese, the spicy cured sausage, and a herb sprinkling. After many years of trying all kinds of pizza there are still more to try, one day my favourite at the end of the day would be this one. That is, adding on anchovies. The intense, salty and spicy flavours burst out uninterrupted. Often at Big Boss, if you wanted an extra topping, there would be a surcharge. On the UberEats platform, there is not the option to add anything with individual pizzas unless you type it in the notes section. Whoever was at the helm was a real darling, since they put on the anchovies and did not charge extra—one more win we had. <br/ <br/ Next up is the supreme pizza. There were the usual cheese and oregano as the base, followed up by shredded beef, kabana sausage, onion, mushroom, capsicum, and pineapple. More or less, that is the standard sort of supreme. It gets a bit of all the primary ingredients, in which each one was vital as the last. There was some crunch to it, along with a distinct umami flavour from the various meats. Each of the tastebuds gets its time to shine, even sweet from the pineapple love it or hate it. I am Switzerland with pineapple on pizza. <br/ <br/ What possibly was a better version of this pizza was their Big Boss Special. It had pepperoni (already a better choice, with its spicy edge), and sujuk (which from the best of my knowledge is like sausage meat, spicy lamb used a lot in Middle Eastern cooking). Adding onto that was kabana sausage, onion, mushroom, and tomato. It was like a loaded kebab turned into a pizza, and I love it. <br/ <br/ We are now able to get into inventive and exciting flavours. Whenever browsing a new pizza place, these are the ones I get the giddiest about reading. I make no secrets that I look forward to trying new things where I can. We have ourselves an Indian style pizza Butter Chicken, Big Boss Heat for the spice fiends, and Mafia Special which for my housemate was the Magnus opus. <br/ <br/ With being a gourmand, I would seriously travel to all the locations to try their food. India is one of them, and a reason would be trying their take on pizza. That is after one great place in Annerley, and Big Boss ' Butter Chicken. The Butter Chicken pizza was simple as it went a curry sauce, with plenty of minced chicken plus cheese and oregano. I just loved how the curry sauce was tangy, and the chicken was tender and soaked well into the sauce. The simple approach won them a fortune, and little kids could enjoy this just as much. <br/ <br/ For the spice fiends, the Big Boss Heat is hard to pass up. It starts with a tomato base infused with garlic, followed up by the usual cheese and oregano plus some chilli for good measure. After that, you could not get a more well rounded combination of ingredients that being pepperoni, sujuk, onion, tomato and jalapenos. The tomato and onion are there to add the aroma and create some texture. The combination of pepperoni and sujuk is something heavenly. While the sujuk is not so spicy, it had a distinct taste, not unlike other spiced meats, plus pepperoni is always delicious. Last and very much, not least, the self respecting jalapeno makes its appearance. The cute little pepper gives it off a finish, leaving you with fire on your breath. <br/ <br/ For the star of the show that night, it was none other than the Mafia Special. How could it be otherwise, especially with the unique gastronomic outlay it provided? There was a cream Fraiche base, topped by spinach, tomato, and marinated chicken, with a swirl of ranch sauce for good measure. This time the vegetables and I know the tomato is not one, and I was not inferring it either actually added to the pizza, with the spinach being a great accompaniment to the chicken. The cream Fraiche base had a slight tang to it, and the ranch dressing was that with some more spice to it. <br/ <br/ There are not many times that I order more pizzas than there are fingers on one hand, and can give each one a paragraph of scrutiny. When that has happened, it could be down to pure luck and good choices, but I would like to pass the credit onto the cooks. It just goes to show their attention to detail, how much they care for their craft and the ingredients ' quality. The choosing process was tricky since several others were contenders to be selected. <br/ <br/ Let 's say you know a place is doing something right when there are still several more choices you are thinking 'maybe it should have been that ' afterwards. Order envy and whatnot can stave off since already Big Boss looks to be a fallback option. In the future, when the right elements are falling into line, I easily envision plugging an order right into Big Boss ' database. Already that has gotten me looking forward to that situation. <br/ <br/ Ooohh, yeah! .... Wrong wrestler, whoops. <br/ <br/ Final rating: 4.0, actually I will be kind and give a 4.5. It deserves it.
