The Gift Shop Food And Drink

The Gift Shop Food and Drink is a little cafe in the southside suburb of Wishart. Tucked away in a complex of shops along Newnham Road, it was a bit of an unexpected find. It has been around for a while (since 2018? , and the many patrons there on a weekday afternoon indicated that the locals certainly knew about it.

I was pleasantly surprised by the food! The menu items seemed too healthy for my liking, but boy was I wrong. The service was amazing as well! The employees there really seemed to enjoy their job and their happy vibes are definitely contagious I 've been three times now and my favourite dish would have to be the 'Fun Guy ' but the 'Golden Eggs ' were great as well.

Been to The Gift Shop twice now and both times the food was delicious. They have interesting and unusual items on their menu, like the 'Golden Eggs ', which are poached eggs encrusted in pastry and deep fried, sitting on top of a potato gem waffle. Also tried their crispy avocado tacos, which consisted of avocado slices that had been crumbed and fried to perfection. The service is great as well very warm and friendly. This is a place I wouldn 't hesitate to recommend and I definitely plan on coming back in the future!

Have not been back over eight months so checked it out in the morning. Although there are impacts from COVID-19 everywhere, this cafe is still very busy. The only difference is the social distance that everyone keeping to avoid spreading of the virus.Ordered a flat white and a almond croissant. Coffee is as good as usual. Arrived home this past Thursday after an 11 day cruise.  First venture outside the house down to The Gift Shop for a coffee.   Great to be back guys and REALLY did enjoy a decent coffee again that I even had a second.  Thanks for the warm welcome home guys.
