Our main complaint was with the lock and keypad system for the room. We had to access a “lockbox” outside our room to get the key, which served as a backup to the touchpad. Unfortunately, we faced ongoing difficulties opening the door from the moment we arrived until we left. This wasn't just our issue; several other guests experienced the same problem. A particularly frustrating moment occurred when we were unable to open our door and had to wait outside in the heat for about 50 minutes. When maintenance finally arrived, they were very apologetic and friendly, and they were able to open the door almost immediately. However, an additional source of irritation was when General Manager Anthony called to ask if I was “slightly” irritated. I informed him that I was more than slightly irritated. He kept asking if we were able to get into our room, but he never acknowledged the ongoing issues with the key system or validated my concerns. When we input the code to enter the room, we didn't hear the usual sounds indicating we were unlocking it, and it seemed that others had similar problems. Given the amount we paid for our four-night stay, we expected these issues to be non-existent! On the positive side, one staff member at the front desk, Nicole, was very helpful and demonstrated excellent customer service when we encountered the door issue again.
We had a wonderful experience! The place is clean and spacious, and it’s situated in an ideal location. The housekeeping and maintenance staff were efficient and friendly. The heated pool was a great addition. The grounds are beautifully maintained, featuring a small green area. We highly recommend this establishment!
Generally, this place is actually pretty great. The location is fantastic and the rooms are comfortable and vary widely across the resort properties. Thanks to FEMA and Hurricane Ian destroying my home and everything in it, I’ve been turned nomad and we were at this joint for 45 days…untilThey gave us only 36 hours notice to vacate, assuring us it wasn’t us, that they’d discontinued their contract with FEMA because of season. So for the next 44 hours or so, I proceeded to break down and pack up the contents of our room. Dripping with sweat and in pain from dehydration and lack of sleep, the assistant manager, Anthony, makes an appearance at our doorstep, brandishing his phone that supposedly showed the 36 hours notice to vacate (it didn’t. On the contrary, it actually proved us right…. . Up until that moment, I’d had nothing but positive interactions with everyone around staff and other guest. And now here’s the situation: I’m sweaty and otherwise disheveled, exhausted from everything (did I mention that I’m currently disabled? Well, I am. and this guy is standing in the doorway, demanding to know when I was vacating when it was quite obvious that I was trying my best to vacate. After insistently shoving his phone in my face so I could see the supposed proof he had, his justification for treating us like Street trash instead of amenable guests who rarely even asked anything out of the housekeeping and cleaned up after every dog staying there, just in case. And this arrogant grouchy tiny man just had to be right and feel better about his life by trying to make ours more challenging than it already was. After Anthony threatened to call the police to escort me off the property and three Ubers later, we were successfully checked out. I would’ve considered giving this five stars but between Anthony the assistant manager and all of the attendant melodrama from it, I’m left with a bad taste in my mouth and more than a little bit disgusted by how poorly it was handled.
Bed was super comfortable, very clean and new. I wish they would have had a bowl, plate and silverware. Nice new pool. Very close to pier, restaurants and shops.Rooms: 5/5
