Dickeys Barbeque - Bradenton

Lunch was picked up and given to me. I chose the 2 meat option and got Pulled Pork, which was a good taste and Turkey, which was moist and smokey taste. My pages were baked mashed potato in a small bowl and green beans. And I made her lemonade finish lunch with a sweet roll. Everything was great and we have to stop here in the future.

I love BBQ, but it's always a bit of a game room that tries a new place, sometimes it's good, sometimes not so good. Dickie was good. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich plate with two sides for $9.59 plus tax via their website. My order was ready when I arrived and the staff was pleasant. The pulled pig was very good. No unexpected hard pieces or chew pieces, just well pulled pig. The sides were decent and the containers were full. I chose Bbq beans and Mac Cheese, neither exceptional, but acceptable. The Mac Cheese tasted more like Power Deluxe in a box than something I would expect in a restaurant. The beans had a hint of spices. Overall, I was happy with my meal and will visit again.

Loved the meats and the sides I chose, I had the ribs, sausage, and chopped brisket with the potato casserole and Mac and cheese. My husband had pulled pork sandwich as well as baked beans and Mac and cheese and all of the food was magnificent. The ONLY complaint I would have is the sweet tea is the gold peak sweet tea which if I'm expecting southern I'm expecting some real fresh brewed dark tea but besides that I loved it all!

We hired Dickey's for the full service catering for our wedding with 107 guests on May 6th, 2017. They were fantastic! We met the owners Pam and Dan for a tasting and creating the menu. They are the sweetest people you will ever meet. They made everything so simple for us. They were on time and very professional. The food setup was very beautiful and matched with the theme of our wedding. They were very clean and organized. The beef brisket was cut on site which we loved. The hot foods stayed hot and the cold food stayed cold throughout the dinner service. They cleaned up and packaged the leftovers for us clearly labeled and dated. Our guests loved the BBQ as much as we do and are still talking about how good it was. Thank you Dickeys for helping to make our day special!!!!

Updated review: one year later 6/2019 I changed my review from 4/4 stars to 5/5. This time and the last few times I went, the soinach was PERFECT! Also my portions were noticeably bigger. It must have been an off day when I went that very first time (the week I posted my first review). I've been back a bunch of times since then and I love it. The meat is moist. They really know how to BBQ. I always give them a nice hefty tip too. One of my favorite places to eat. Please throw them even a dollar or so people! Tip your food servicers even if they don't wait on your table. First review: I thought the food was tasty. However, my creamed spinach was pretty runny and liquidity. Maybe a bad day? Fast service but portions were a bit small. (Disregard)
