Kelsey's On Cortez - Bradenton

I ordered a burger, and it was cooked to perfection—just how I like it—and absolutely delicious. It was so good that I ended up ordering a second one! The entire staff is very welcoming and makes you feel at home. I've already recommended Kelsey's on Cortez to many friends, and they've become regulars as well!

I enjoyed the hot wings and the Cheddar Mountain Burger. I’ll definitely be returning for more!

On Sunday, the beer we ordered was disappointing—it didn't taste as it should have. Now, regarding Thursday's wing night, while it was slightly better, it was still quite disappointing. Our $4.75 order of fries was tiny, similar to a small from McDonald's, and they were soggy and unappetizing. I do have some sympathy for the new owners; taking over a business and making it your own is a tough task. However, I don't understand the reasons behind so many drastic changes, especially when the previous staff had clearly been doing well, as they were there for a long time. Now, they are all gone, and I'm very disappointed with the new Kelsey’s. A word of advice: DO NOT ORDER DESSERT! I'm going to have to find a new place for wing night, even though I’ve been fair and given this restaurant multiple chances to improve.

I placed an online order for the last delivery of the day through DoorDash, spending nearly $200. Unfortunately, instead of the four orders of coconut shrimp I requested, I received four orders of regular shrimp. Additionally, my order was missing two orders of loaded fries, one order of six chicken wings, and one order of ten chicken wings. When I called the restaurant to resolve the issue, I was told that the staff was new—one had been there for only two weeks and another for just two days—so they couldn't help me. There was no manager available to speak with. I then contacted DoorDash and left a voicemail about the issue. The next day, I called the restaurant again, and the bartender took my message to forward to the owner, supposedly. However, I never received a callback or my promised $40 refund for the items I never received!

Tim is an excellent bartender. The wings were large and perfectly cooked. The drinks were a bit expensive for Happy Hour, but I had a wonderful time overall.
