Linger Lodge - Bradenton

What a fantastic spot for lunch! Several friends recommended this place, so we decided to give it a try. It's important to make a reservation. Our waitress, Beth, was funny, efficient, and attentive. Be prepared to spend some time there, as the service is a bit slow, but our table on the screened veranda overlooking the Braden River made it worthwhile. Don't miss trying the daily Bloody Mary—it's large enough to share and will make the time fly by. Remember, it’s called "Linger" for a reason. We enjoyed a variety of dishes, including a small salad with coconut shrimp, Linger Lodge étouffée, Louisiana catfish, and a coconut shrimp basket. In the end, we had nothing but good things to say. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, with a charming rustic southern lodge vibe. Enjoy!

My brother suggested this restaurant and it was an excellent choice! I ordered the appetizer platter, which included baked green tomatoes, frog legs, and peat bites, all of which were fantastic. Honestly, they were some of the best I've ever had. The gumbo was also delicious, offering a taste of Old Florida. The ambiance was unique and enjoyable, with stuffed animals decoratively placed throughout the space. I loved the view of the tranquil water, which had an almost swamp-like charm. Although it's a bit off the beaten path, it's definitely worth the trip. It was peaceful and not crowded on Thursday afternoon.

This is a very different place to dinate. It is located on the river Braden and you can arrive by boat. You have some stuffed animals and snakes. It is a little museum for Florida in the wilderness. Not a place, but the food is good. Bon appetit!

This place is very interesting. They have been in business since 1940! It’s tucked away in East Bradenton on the river. The food is very good but on the greasy side. The **** Mary is to die for.. overall good atmosphere and they have outside seating so you can bring your pet babies....

Our family has been here many times, and we love it. They serve alligator and many other strange foods. The alligator bites are very tasty and moist. I also love the blackened catfish. If you don 't like that kind of food, they also have burgers. The menu shows exotic animals and roadkill , which may be just for fun, but this place is a blast! Set right on the river, the alligators are just outside. Lastly, the taxidermy throughout is cute. Overall, we love it.
