Rice Bowl Asian House - Bradenton

First time here.. Randomly picked driving by. Monday Sept 18th 5pm (rather empty, but early Monday) Ordered: Kani salad Sushi- Tuna, white tuna, yellow tail 6pcs Pink dragon roll Kani salad arrived UNUSUALLY fast. It was warm and VERY dry. Asked for side of spicy mayo. Helped a little but anyone that loves kani salad knows how horrible they can taste when they aren 't properly chilled!! Sushi was also warm making it unpleasant. Pink dragon roll The tempura shrimp inside the roll tasted like it was fried 2x but refrigerated in between. It was INSANELY chewy. The batter also looked different. The ends with the shrimp tail, you could see allot of oil soaked into the batter. When I picked it up, sure enough it was oil logged. So the pink dragon roll was INEDIBLE! The waitress was SUPER AMAZING and very apologetic. I felt bad complaining because I could even see her eyes tearing up. As a chef in this industry myself, I know how she feels.... she took off the roll from the bill. That I expected... So far so good. She then said she was gonna take off the kani salad and sushi but I insisted I was okay paying for them but when I got the bill, she removed them too She didn 't have to do all that! So I made sure to leave a $25.00 tip on my $6.59 bill. She continued apologizing and saying how she didn 't want me to say anything that would hurt her business like THIS REVIEW! ..... SO why am I posting this review when I told her I wouldn 't? After all of the apologizing she then said that: MAYBE THE REASON I DIDN 'T LIKE THE FOOD WAS BECAUSE OF MY PERSONAL PREFERENCE!!! I took personal offense to this because I wasn 't the only person eating the food that disliked it so that would be an odd coincidence for both of us to not like everything. I tried telling her I would definitely come back and try this place again but she kept apologizing so much I could barely speak or explain anything verbally to her. Side observation The sushi chef seemed VERY bored as he was leaning against the wall on his phone(directly in front of where I was sitting). He would get an order: (my order for kani salad)....he threw it together SUPER FAST then went back to leaning against the wall on his phone. After I got the reduced bill, another gentleman that apparently worked there, went behind the sushi bar and began having a rather LOUD conversation back and forth with the sushi chef. This place has a great rating so I have a feeling tonight 's service was just a bad night. VERY BAD. Hopefully when we go back we can try some of the 4.7 food cuz that 's what we were hoping for today. Cheers

Great experience here at the Rice Bowl. First the service was excellent! Friendly and fast. It was perfect for the experience. The meals were great! Very delicious, hot, and huge portions. The Mrs had the shrimp and rice, I had the Szechuan chicken and noodles. We both ended up taking a box home. Certainly recommend you stop here. You will not be disappointed. Service: Dine in
