We tried the Bang Bang Cauliflower, wings, and crab cake fritters. The cauliflower was amazing. The other two were ok. I order the chicken pho as an entree. It was nasty. Broth had no flavor. Wrong type of noodles. And the chicken meatballs had no flavor. The ambiance and customer service gets an 8/10. Food 2(maybe)/10. I was told that this isn’t authentic Pho and even tho it’s not, it’s definitely not a good replica. I probably won’t go back.
Honest review: Service is good. Hostess and Waitstaff were excellent. The downside is their food and alcohol. Alcohol is overcharged, especially for basic Japanese whiskey. The ramen is exactly what you would expect from the people who own Frog Hollow. It’s white people trying to make ramen. Extremely basic and not worth the 18 dollars. You can go to actual Asian Pho and Ramen restaurants and get better food for cheaper. 2.5 out of 5 stars.
We noticed this restaurant a few months ago, when we had a disappointing BBQ experience near by. This time, amidst the heavy rain pouring outside, a warm ramen soup looked like a good idea. We were very glad we made this choice. Pho Ramen offers a variety of Chinese and Vietnamese soups, we only had a spicy pork ramen and a couple of shrimp wraps. I did not find the wraps anything worth mentioning but my wife loved them. The soup on the other hand we both liked very much: it tasted very authentic quite thick with the noodles not too soft just as we liked them. The portions were plentiful with a couple of healthy pieces of pork belly. The the price was more then reasonable.
Broth just needs more depth and I can’t explain what it’s missing but once you find it the beef pho will be 5 star.
They were very nice and accommodating-I have a service dog and they made seating us easy. Great servers as well and amazing cauliflower bang bang
