Road Fish Chip Shop - Braintree

I placed a phone order for pick-up, and the order was ready on time. However, it was probably the worst experience I've ever had with buying Fish and Chips. My piece of fish was white and okay, but the batter was very soggy. My partner's fish was grey in the middle, so we had to throw it away. The quality of the chips was mostly poor, and the total price for one large cod, one medium cod, and one portion of regular chips was £21.30. Wow!

We recently had a meal from this restaurant. It used to be good, but not so much anymore. Now you have to pay for delivery, and the chips we received looked old and overcooked. We stopped ordering from them for a while because of this issue. When we went back today, it seemed like the chips were reheated from lunch time and were extremely hard. It's difficult to complain because the person on the phone doesn't speak good English. They should always use fresh chips instead of reheating them.

We paid for our food upon delivery only to realize that the entire order was not included. We called the restaurant to inform them of their mistake and they promised to bring the missing food right away. However, when the delivery guy finally arrived 40 minutes later, he tried to charge us again for the missing items. In the end, we decided to send the missing meal back with the driver and had to make do with half of the family eating while the other half cooked their own meals. The quality of the food that did arrive was also quite poor. Overall, we do not recommend spending your money at this restaurant as there are much better establishments out there.

Ordered meal on phone for delivery given cost and then called to say delivery would be £XTRA WONT BE USING AGAIN very dissapointed

Over done chips, burger not fresh, old salad, spicy wings look like Morrisons own. Price was good....
