The House By Hilly Gant - Braintree

Went here a few months ago for a graduation dinner, had heard amazing things about the previous owners and name so hoped highly they'd kept these traditions going, however the food was incredibly expensive considering the over-seasoned taste in all the meals. Food not as hot as would be expected, far too much cheese on a fish dish? To boot it was incredibly loud with too many tables in one room. I don't doubt this could have improved the last few months however please choose wisely when choosing to part with a significant portion of cash.

Really enjoyed myself at this restaurant and loved the food. I had the mushroom starter, the pork to main and the crème brûlée for dessert and couldn’t fault any of it! Service was great, our waiter had a sense of humour and at last minute switched out table to outside without any complaints etc. will visit again.

I had a pleasant dining experience at this restaurant, thanks to its inviting atmosphere and diverse menu options. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, the overall experience offers good value for the quality provided.

I had a fantastic lunch to celebrate someone's birthday. Everything went smoothly, and both the service and the food were exceptional.

I've been meaning to visit this place for quite some time (even before it changed names!) and I was not disappointed. The food is creative and beautifully balanced; I wanted to try everything on the menu!
