Its brightly lit, small and cosy and spotlessly clean. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The lady in charge - a member of the family who run this business - came over and described all the dishes that we could eat - my husband is a vegetarian - plus she took the time to explain many of the food names we had never heard of before. Massive vegi choices - it was really difficult to choose so we decided to get more than we could eat and get what we left bagged up to take home.Started with Gol Gappa and fish tikka and the lightest freshest poppadoms ever served with some very different chutneys - absolutely fabulous , then onto Paneer tikka Masala, Bartha and Shrimp Karahi - not a hint of ghee residue anywhere - everydish tasted completely different, non greasy, fresh, lots of paneer and prawns, spiced to perfection and not watery. The nan was freshly cooked and hot - fluffy and crispy on the outside - how do they do that - beautiful. Marsala tea ended what was a truly delicious meal.We are English and have been searching a great Indian restaurant for years - now we have found it and they do take out. The restaurant also sells many Indian sweets/deserts - we were sadly too full to try any but next time.Everything was just right and the service was exceptional. Food came when we expected it to... not like the long waits I have read about in many other restaurant reviews for other local Indian restaurants. Cannot understand why this place is not number 1. Go and try - I am certain you will be back like we will!
The service at this restaurant was excellent! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were fantastic.
This restaurant used to be decent, but now the food is poor quality. The naan bread is often undercooked and I have found stale food with fungus on some sweets. When I informed the staff, they thanked me but did not resolve the issue. The owner, who is a Sikh, refused to accept the complaints. I have stopped going to this restaurant for health and safety reasons and would not recommend it.
Very nice and clean Indian Resturant. They have fresh and tasty Samosa. Taste the best samosa in town. Other veg. dishes also good. Cholay Bathuray are delicious as well. Prices are affordable as well
The food was terrible! No flavor whatsoever. We ordered Paneer Bhurji and all it had (in terms of spices) was turmeric (too much of it), cumin seeds and that it! The dish was so dry and no taste apart from turmeric....we also ordered Paneer Tikka Masala and that was full of bell papers - all sorts of them, green, red and yellow but again no taste.
