The food is really tasty and well prepared...pricing is good too. Every Tuesday after 6 pm, half-priced apps and flat breads. Love the atmosphere...great patio....check it out! You won't be disappointed!
Excellent staff and environment, food is so good it's hard to believe it's a pub. Home cooking with real mashed potatoes and kitchen is always open til close, can't beat the wings either
Just was there. Sat for 20 minutes while three waitresses looked at us, gossiped to each other, and checked their smart phones. Serving an actual customer is apparently not one of their job duties. We left. Never got served.
This restaurant is a local bar and eatery that I have known since it opened as Just Desserts. After some grocery shopping, I decided to try Maguire's. When I arrived, there were only a few people there, so the wait staff was attentive. I ordered a Rickard's Red pint and some hot chicken wings. The wings were freshly cooked and a good size, although the sauce could have been spicier and the side of carrot and celery was disappointing. However, the friendly atmosphere was enhanced by running into an older gentleman I knew who wished me Happy Father's Day. We knew some mutual friends and had a pleasant chat. The atmosphere was lively, with some good-natured banter and camaraderie. Maguire's offers good food, cold beer, and if you're a soccer fan, they have a few TV screens showing games. Located at the corner of Queen St East and Hanson Rd, it's a great spot to unwind and enjoy a meal.
We had a great time at this bar on St. Patrick's Day. The service was friendly and the clientele was nice. However, our main complaint is that the bar advertised itself as Irish, but besides a DJ playing "Dirty Old Town," there was nothing Irish about it. It was disappointing.
