ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. Delicious finger licking food. Lots of vegetarian options. (Non vegetarian options were also ample) Khubani Kofta was out of this world. The complimentary mango chutney was one of a kind. Amongst drinks Mango Mist was fabulous.<br/ Ambience- Ambience was good. The music was soothing and at desirable audible. <br/ Servers and Staff- Sweetest staff so far at any Indian restaurant in GTA.<br/ Cost and Servings- Price is bit higher than average dining but totally worth it and this is high end restaurant with not so high prices. For us it was $180 for 6 people which included drinks, appetizers and dessert. Full value for money.<br/ TEA review- missed tea as they don't serve tea during peak hours so will go back exclusively for tea someday.<br/ SPECIAL ATTRACTION- If you are lucky enough and it's someone's birthday in premises, a man will come with flute and oh boy what a melodious way to wish Happy Birthday. Full marks to the talented flutist and this great concept.<br/ <br/ Much Recommend for food lovers.<br/ <br/ Thanks. Happy Eating. <br/ <br/
I visited Mayura last Sunday for a dual birthday celebration the hostess and server were extremely courteous and the service was incredible Thanks Sheena! The restaurant too is beautifully decorated with a grand waterfall entrance, and the ambience was just perfect for night out with family.<br/ <br/ For appetizers, we ordered the Galawat Kebab and Fish Tikka There were presented beautifully and were delicious to eat, however the garam masala was overpowering in flavour. The accompaniments were poor as well; the mango pickle was simply mango pulp that comes out of a can, and the pudina chutney was watery and lacked any flavour. Also, i think they missed giving us complimentary papad but that's okay.<br/ <br/ For our mains, we ordered Mutton Beliram, Jhinga, Chicken Dum Biryani and naans. Both the Mutton and Shrimp were scrumptious The mutton was delicately spiced and tender, and the shrimp had robust flavour. Both of these were devoured with garlic naan. The portions sizes were just perfect too! Unfortunately, the Biryani was not a Biryani at all it resembled and tasted like a pulao instead. <br/ <br/ Overall, it was a pleasant experience due to the service provided and the presentation of the food, but the dishes lacked consistency in flavour.
