The owner Ralph Divino Me and my family have been coming here for years the 4 of us usually drop between 80 and $120 with the tip. This time the food was not tasty and warm..I asked if the owner Ralph was there and they said he was away on vacation. A man sitting next to us waved at me and showed me his phone with an article about how Ralph embezzled $10 million and was incarcerated in federal prison for a few years.. I sat there and googled it to confirm it to see if it was true and it was..This would explain why the food was not tasty and the calamari was very rubbery..We did send some of the food back yet it came back the same and I expressed my disgust with the individual in charge who didn 't seem to give a flying fu$k .. you have been given fair warning!!!
When we came here on a Monday night shortly before Christmas, the place was packed! We quickly figured out why: the atmosphere was cozy, the decorations were cute, the waiters were friendly, and the food was delicious. Our only complaint was that the food was too expensive. We ordered the El Diavolo pizza, and it definitely lived up to its name it was devilishly spicy but yummy, with crispy crust and gooey mozzarella. The garlic knots were also very good. We skimped on getting sangrias because our bill was already through the roof. I'll be sure to return in the summer to see the outdoor pizza oven in action.
Stefano's is a wood burning pizza restaurant tucked in the corner of a busy shopping mall. Fortunately, there is plenty of parking by the actual restaurant. The interior atmosphere and ambiance is perfect for a romantic dinner or lunch. The lights are dimmed and the restaurant feels very warm and inviting. The pizza was alright, but I expected better. The plain slice had good cheese and a thin, flavorful base and crust, but was lacking in the sauce department. The margherita slice seemed overseasoned to me, which should be unnecessary if you have a tasty sauce and quality basil. To me, it seemed as if they were trying to mask the flavor, which doesn't really make sense because the slice was perfectly fine. Perhaps I came at a bad time. I really loved the atmosphere and perhaps getting a fresh pie would change my mind.
Closing 9:30 pm on Saturday?? Really?? I came here to seat and have pizza. And guess what? It was only take out. Not seating anymore! On a a Saturday. So I had to take out.
