We had a wonderful family stay at McClain Lodge. The property is beautiful and offers more space and amenities than booking multiple hotel rooms, all at a more affordable price.

As a wedding photographer, I absolutely love working at McClain Lodge! The staff truly goes above and beyond to ensure their clients are well taken care of. The catering here features some of the best food I've ever tasted! They provide lovely lodge cabins for the wedding party and family members to stay in, a stunning ceremony site beneath majestic oak trees, and a spacious rustic banquet hall for a lively reception. I highly recommend choosing McClain Lodge for your wedding!

We made changes to the menu and called numerous times with questions about the details. Without fail, everyone we spoke to was patient, friendly, and professional. It was so easy that we were able to relax and truly enjoy the celebration! The wedding weekend followed a significant storm, and we were initially concerned about the grounds, which were littered with storm debris and fallen trees, and the outdoor lights had been damaged. However, two days before our big day, the McClain staff—along with Mr. Buddy McClain himself—worked diligently to clear everything away, rehang the lights, and even resurface the parking lot. The venue looked as magical as ever! What sets McClain Lodge apart is their commitment to getting to know you and understanding your vision for the event. They pour so much love and attention to detail into making exactly what you want a reality. We held our rehearsal dinner on the lodge’s front porch, enjoying fantastic food and attentive service with a breathtaking view. With well-appointed cabins for guests, a main cabin for the groomsmen, and another for the bridal party, our extended weekend event was unforgettable. I wouldn’t change a thing! McClain Lodge treats you like family!

I decided to try this place out this weekend. The vegetables was cold and unseasoned. The chicken was too salty. And the fish was hot, but not seasoned. The desserts tasted as if the flavors was missing from it. As they say, “different tea for different people”. The food wasn’t what I imagined it to be. This is not a place that I would return to for service.

My grandsons wedding was there. It was magical. The staff was well trained for every situation that came up, which included rain and alligators! Lol! It was like being in a fairy tale.
