Spillway Diner - Brandon

I am increasing my rating for this restaurant because the cashier was extremely pleasant and accommodating, providing me with a full refund without any issue. However, my overall experience at Spillway Diner was disappointing. I ordered the Spillway Sampler, but when it arrived, it was severely burnt and overcooked to the point where it was as hard as a brick. Paying $11 for such inedible food was unacceptable. Any competent manager or kitchen staff should understand that serving food in such a condition is simply not acceptable.

We were pleasantly surprised by the food quality at this restaurant! It definitely outshines that other waffle place. The eggs were delicious and the Country Fried Steak with gravy was fantastic. The waffle was sweet and the French toast was tasty. We will definitely be returning to try more dishes.

Great breakfast spot! Since opening the management has progressively updated the layout and the menu. The omelette?s are really tasty and fluffy. Great service. Clean. Good atmosphere. Open early.

I had a terrible experience with takeout from this restaurant. I placed my order over the phone at 11:30 AM and was told it would take 45 minutes to an hour. I arrived at the restaurant after 12:30, only to find out that my order had not even been started. Despite the restaurant being somewhat empty, I had to wait for over an hour and a half for my food. The server was also not very attentive and did not apologize for the long wait. When I finally received my order, I discovered that items were missing and no cutlery was included. The food was average at best, but after waiting for so long, I had lost my appetite. I will think twice before ordering from this restaurant again.

After reading other reviews, we gave this place a shot. I ordered the patty melt; my fiance ordered an omelette and pancakes. Five stars for the portions and flavor!!! Food was made fresh to order and was banging.
