Carolina Kitchen - Brandywine

First timer. I moved out of the deep south and decided to try this place that many of my friends like this serve soul food. Simply put, I am satisfied and I would recommend it. The place was clean and the food looked great. I feel some items were ridiculously expensive 7$ for a piece of cake?! NOT. However, meals are fair. They can be full and have remains. I spent $45 for two meals, a drink and an additional page. The food was nicely seasoned...not Southern seasoned...but healthy seasoned lol. I liked the Yams and Kohl. The service could be a little better. Although the staff was nice, I'm waiting for someone to take revenge when my food got cold (I dived). One of these situations where you can see waiting, but assume that someone else will help you. Also, toilet had no soap and a dirty, broken toilet. Good place, nice area.

The food was absolutely delicious. The line was out of the door at 2:00. That was my first time I was very confused about what I should do. The reason for 4 stars is, it must be some changes... Firstly, you can not see the menu much from the line, please some menus with pictures and descriptions so that people can decide before they order.. This would help to move the line faster. Also, I had decided my family's orders that I could actually read the menu, and ordered this article, but I saw much better choices when I went past the food bar (AFTER I ordered) so I wish I could change it without being pain at this point, and would have chosen differently if I knew what the things were. Also, PLEASE put labels on the glass or near the foods, which are items.. I mean yes, I know what fried chicken, Mac and cheese, etc are, but some things I would have liked to know what they were to decide whether I want them without asking since their guys were super busy. My last proposal, please, is available to customers and noticeable. I saw a lot of people wondering where to put their garbage, even we never figured out... we ended our garbage out of the restaurant and throw it into a garbage can be out. Otherwise we got a great customer service and delicious food... but for the first time it was very complicated and frustrating to navigate. Will be back to try the other things I care about and wish I had ordered!

Today for the first time tried and I will first say that the food was great. The fried porkchops were beautifully spiced (but may have been a little tenderer). The Mac and the cheese and the collar were also decent. Hubby loved his jerk chicken sandwich, but thought it might be a bit more in any jerk season they use, but no big complaints there. The prices are not bad for the portions. While we ran out, the restaurant was clean and the whole food looked great. Here I was deeply disappointed at the service. The staff was nice and friendly, so this is a plus, but we had to wait over 30 minutes for the Ruck chicken sandwich. As another reviewer noticed, it was one of those situations where people see CLEARLY that you stand and wait to ask a question about their order... take eye contact... but never confirm. This was both the cashier and another young lady who seemed to be manager. I was even asked to wait for my order to the page, and they would call my name if ready not to the counters (which I absolutely understand and appreciated). Here's the problem: The music game is so loud, no one could possibly hear her name; and that really doesn't matter because they never called it that way. I and another gentleman (who was BEFORE me) waited too long and had to initiate the question of our respective food orders. Apparently, they just sat on the side. Please, please do better. This is a beautiful establishment, quite good food and a good alternative to some of the other chains. If you work in customer service, try not to forget the customers that you serve. When I come back, I'll probably just order something that's already cooked or if possible.

Carolina Kitchen is the best soul food black own restaurant ever. The one in Waldorf ate a dinner for my son's party. When I say the food was Bombe..my my my my my my my my my.. the food was AMAZING. Everyone at the party had at least 3 plates. they don't even eat my food (Lol). The staff was wonderful that everything was ready when I got there. The service was great and this is something you can't find today. I am grateful and grateful for your service. My rating for her is over 5 stars. I give them 100 stars. Keep the excellent services.
