Breitenberghütte - Brannenburg

We were here on 31.12.2022, had checked the homepage the day before and on arrival the sign at the parking lot. The plan was to eat lunch here. At the top, the drowned employees told us that there was no food for a closed company. On request from the boss, it was clear that there was a reservation, but there was no indication anywhere. Although food was present in the kitchen, we didn't get anything. The hostess was very unfriendly, cash and we 2 adults and 2 small children were expelled from the place. We find it an absolute innocence and will certainly not come back.

Super hut, led by friendly staff. They were very helpful, friendly and gave us a relaxed stay with overnight stay in the camp. In the evening, there were grilled pigs from the spit.

Wirtin was very unfriendly, she complained that we had wet shoes as she had already wiped today. Well, in the weather, wet shoes are not rarity. She meant we were supposed to take the shoes off the door. We had to sit in the cold room, as we had a dog and then without shoes, I find it difficult. So the conclusion of hikers with wet shoes and dog is not recommended to return to this cottage.

Very nicely located Alm/Breitenberghaus with views. The carving with the potato salad; absolutely great! As dessert there was a very tasty homemade cake. The hostess is very nice and looks that the guests feel comfortable. Such a good carving long not eaten In any case recommend!

Good food, nice, simple (but partly steep) ascent (at us with Thule bicycle trailer/children's car)
