I'm picky with hash browns, but these were cooked very well and I ate that I could of them. My wife barely managed a quarter of her pancakes, but said they were awesome!
Billy Gail's restaurant offers a cool, homey atmosphere that makes you feel right at ease. I tried the Belly Buster, which includes three eggs, two sausage patties, hashbrowns, toast, and two massive 14” pancakes. The food was solid, though nothing particularly special—except for the pancakes. They were ginormous and pretty good, making them the standout of the meal. If you're looking for a laid-back spot with a welcoming vibe, Billy Gail’s is worth a visit.
Food is DELICIOUS. Gets heavy business from the SDC campground and the seating areas aren't very big so expect a wait. It's a great family restaurant with huge portions (even if you don't get the 14 pancake).
I was so under impressed with this place. The greeters were indifferent and could care less if we ate at this restaurant. They failed to ask our name. They told us to wait and we repeatedly saw other customers going in before us without a reservation. I finally demanded they put my name on the waiting list. When we were finally seated, half, the restaurant was empty. I seemed like almost everyone working there didn’t care about their job or the restaurant. The only exception was this Filipino woman who was working her tail off. The food is OK but overall, I won’t be back.
Love this place. Not only is the food terrific and the service great, but, relative to the rest of Branson, it's an amazing value. I highly recommend this place to everyone coming through Branson.
