Gus & Guidos - Brantford

This restaurant is superb from the owners right down to the hostess.

We ended up here after unsuccessfully being able to go to African Lion Safari after arriving late, and waiting in a long line up.

Exceptionally mediocre food and service, disappointing since it used to be so much better.

Went to Gus and Guidos on Saturday night. We were looking for Caseys and saw this restaurant, we like to try new places so we thought it would be an adventure. We arrive around 9:30pm and the restaurant was quiet. It took quite a few minutes to be seated because there is a hierarchy among the wait staff and they weren't sure who should get us...as in be allocated to their section. Eventually we were seated but the staff were destracted, so it took a while to place drink order, meal order etc. We were told we couldn't have the sides we wanted with our dinner. Then when the food came, it came with what we said we wanted but couldn't have. We were then told there were no potatoes left and that was why. We were given free french fries to compensate, but it took 20 minutes. A large party arrived and this seemed to require the support of multiple wait staff so it too a LONG time to get the bill. They have too many wait staff who are too distracted... the food was average, portions are large, but it isn't cheap so it didn't feel like a good deal.

Bad location, the inside looked very cold and dark, we ate on patio. The food was very poor, the service was just okay. If you appreciate good food with taste than this is not the place.
