Contribuisci feedbackI've been to New Koto twice. The first time, I ordered a large platter with a variety of sushis and sashimis, and it was great. The food, however, took over an hour to come, and several people who arrived at the restaurant after me got their food before I did. The manager admitted that they had screwed up, and gave me some free tempura for my time. The second time, I went for one of the hot dishes, and it did not disappoint. The teppan yaki was delicious, and very authentic as well. If you're looking for upscale Japanese food in Brasilia, New Koto is the way to go.
New Koto is a traditional japanese cuisine restaurant where you will find both the best sushi in town as well as traditional japanese warm dishes (teishoku, yakissoba, udon) that you usually won't find in other Japanese restaurants in town. As a resident of Brasilia and a sushi lover, I can't spend more than a few weeks away from this place. Be aware that this is traditional Japanese cuisine, so don't expect to find any of those fruity or cream cheese Sushis that have been on the trend (I was never a fan though). It is definitely a can't miss.

I miss this restaurant very much. A bit on the pricey side but well worth it. The tuna is always fresh and well-cut (which other restaurants in the city cannot boast of). For hot dishes, try the gyudon, chicken yakitori or beef teppanyaki. Everything i had over the two years i frequented this place was delicious. Eat here often enough and you'll sometimes get to sample some dishes for free! Arrive early as it can get quite busy, especially on Friday nights.
