India Masala House - Brattleboro

This restaurant may appear to be just another motel eatery when you pass by, but it offers a delightful experience that sets it apart. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance—neither overly fancy nor too casual. The service was excellent and friendly, enhancing the overall experience. The Indian cuisine is truly exceptional, although I found the mild spice a bit lacking; I could hardly taste any heat at all. I thoroughly enjoyed their mango lassis, which I suspect owe their deliciousness to the quality of Vermont dairy products, which also contribute to the high standard of the cheese in the palak paneer. I highly recommend this place!

Horrible experience! We were really disappointed because the food had absolutely no flavor and was very overpriced. We ordered takeout, but ended up having to stop by the grocery store afterward to buy tikka sauce and salt just to make the meal edible! Plus, the naan bread was more like flat roti.

The Indian food here is outstanding! The plain naan was exceptional, and the garlic and cilantro naan was even better. The goat saagwala was absolutely perfect!

We came on a Monday so maybe it was more people than normal but there was only one person handling the tables and she was efficient but overworked. Made sure she and she only got a good tip.Food was great and its a cute place in a historic town. I would have tried some of the cocktails but didnt want to add to the waitresses workload. The cook came out to clean tables.Its next to a hotel on the north side of townI would go back

The food was good and the service was nice, but the prices are simply not worth it when there are other options within 20-30 miles. You can expect to pay roughly 30$ for a single entree and the portions are good but not enough food for 30$. You can’t really expect to charge about 50$ per person when the dining area has a huge water stain on the ceiling. At that price, I’d expect to order cocktails with the entree.
