It is almost like you in a tree house, beautiful views, string lights, wheel music, etc. Order and pick up food in window style. But... there was a vegetarian section that contained many items that had cooked rice in the chicken stable...soo not vegetarian. I do not understand why you are not vegetarian rice in the vegetarian dishes section, but I am glad that it was noticed on the menu. Nothing was vegan and it was not clear what the ingredients were actually in the dishes. It listed Tempo Wrap, Burger, Burrito, etc., without listing what was in everyone. I would like to see the ingredients listed and vegan products marked clearly as vegan. I asked if the pace wrap was vegan, and she said she thinks so, except perhaps not the bbq, so she would do it without the bbq. It would be nice if the staff had something more interesting about what was vegan because it would have been nice to have a final answer. When I got it, it was just a pack full of not super tasteful tempeh, grilled onions and peppers and a small piece of potato. It was really fat and didn't taste great and became old after a few bites. I'm not a picky person and wanted to like it, but I really didn't. I'd go back and try something else just because I really like the outside.
This place is like a hut with counter and external benches - not my idea of a restaurant, but I was not important because I was so hungry. I waited for a while when the neighborhood was super nice and explained how their credit card processing worked to the person before me. Once it was my turn, I mentioned that I was vegan and wanted to confirm my options. They had many veg-friendly items, but they were not labeled vegan so that I confirmed the bean patty did not have milk etc... After they said that they did not know the ingredients in ANYTHING, they said: “What will happen if you eat it?” MY JAW DROPPED. She said, “Do I want to call 911?” I said, “Do you ask my food choices?” And she said yes and started fighting with me. The GALLE of what man does. I've been vegan for over 7 years and never had an employee in a restaurant question my food choice. I just went because she obviously wasn't interested in serving me.
Tempeh Wrap is great. I take rice and add fried root veins. Perfection.
Top of the Hill Grill has our 120-guest wedding. It couldn't have been smoother. They were pros from the beginning to the end, the requests for gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian dishes for our guests who do not eat the glorious meat and baked products on offer. The pulled pig was from this world. I would recommend it to anyone who takes an event!
Unexpectedly stopped at this jewel. I got the burned end sandwich and my girlfriend got the pulled pork sandwich. Talk about dinner with a view! This place was great. I'd stop an applause here if you're in the area.
