Okercabana - Braunschweig

The Okercabana is an open air bar with grill food at the Bürgerpark south of the city center. The artificial beach of Okercabana is just next to the local river Oker. Surrounded by trees. It is a great place for sunny weather. Very relaxed atmosphere....You also can take a boat tour from the Okercabana. Highly recommended.

We were here visiting for friends' party what a great, relaxed, chilled atmosphere! the service was also nice, the urban beach club in the middle of a generous city park just transposes you to the seaside go have a couple of drinks there...if you're in the area!

A definite place to visit during the summer in Braunschweig, caters for all tastes, young or old whatever the gender. Visited this place with my sister and our Nephews, kids area is top and the setting is great. Food was ok for a short snack,...the service at the counter could have been more friendlier, its as if they didn't want to be there to be honest. That said we had a positive experience.

Great and different place to hang out with friends in good weather. Great setting on the Oker river with nice white sand. Good food and drink. We have visited a couple of times and will definitely come back.

A large group of us were in need of food and drink, so our hosts booked us in here at Okercabana. It is a surprise to me to see a man made beach, BBQ Grill and bars in the middle of a park next...to a river in Braunschweig. Food was plenty and nicely presented and meat cooked at a good pace and served direct from the BBQ. None of this cook a load of food and keep it in a warmer the meat was cooked at a pace to be served and eaten. There was a range of sides and salads also made available which complimented the meat overload you get with any BBQ ! Plenty of beer drink selections available as well. A great setup and this is now on the things to do in Braunschweig' list !
