Tante Marie - Breaux Bridge

This place is fantastic! I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast that was freshly cooked to order. The homemade biscuits were enormous and wonderfully fluffy. I will definitely be returning whenever I'm in the area. The service was excellent, too!

I've been here several times and have always enjoyed my meals. The grits and grillards are fantastic, and the eggplant fries are just as delicious. On my most recent visit, I had the shrimp pasta, which featured a wonderful butter garlic cream sauce. While the seafood dishes are reasonably priced, I find the non-seafood items to be a bit on the expensive side. Nonetheless, everything I've tried has been delicious!

We have visited this restaurant many times and always enjoyed it, but today's experience was disappointing. We ordered an omelet with a biscuit, grits, and chorizo sausage. The waitress initially asked if we were ready to order, but we weren't at that moment. Unfortunately, she didn't return for at least 10 minutes. During that time, we noticed 4 to 5 waitresses chatting together in the back. When our food arrived, the coffee was barely warm, and the biscuit was similarly lukewarm. The chorizo sausage was overcooked and served in scattered bits on a plate. Overall, both the service and the food fell short of our expectations.

I got a cinnamon roll with scrambled eggs and bacon and everything was delicious!

Best shrimp and grits that they’ve put on the breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus (because there’s never a bad time for shrimp and grits)! My husband also licked his plate of chicken fried steak and over easy eggs!10/10 for atmosphere, too. I can hear the music AND my husband AT THE SAME TIME! They have solved the mystery of the restaurant universe in doing so.Thank you!
