Located inside the train station entrance area, this restaurant offers limited vegan options, such as pretzels and simple, dry rolls. While other locations of the chain may have vegan carving rolls and Danish pastries, they were not available at this particular spot. However, they do offer Clemals which are vegan-friendly. There are also many "veganish" grocery stores located nearby.
Unfortunately, the number of vegan options at Backwerk has decreased considerably. In the past there were many options such as bagels, sandwiches, wraps, yogurts, etc. It was always a safe bet to get vegan food that was very filled. However, the choice was quite small, and I noticed this development in several bakery shops in various cities. You can usually buy only one bow, one sandwich and one or two pastries. I also don't like the Böreks more than my favorite, but they are no longer crispy and much too fat. You can still go there to get a vegan snack or a quick lunch for a train ride, but I hope they will expand their vegan offers again because this development is really sad.
In this bakery there is a wide range of vegan foods
