Finding our intended restaurant in the Viertel was fully booked, we strolled along the road until we came the Le's Bistro. I'd been before and my two colleagues were happy to give it a go. We got the last three seats, uncomfortably perched on bar stools at a high table. Just the one poor member of staff was serving a restaurant full to bursting so the service was incredibly slow. It must have taken over half an hour to even give our order and we were more than hungry by the time it arrived. The Thai curries seem to be adapted to German expectations of heat. If you've ever had a German curry, you'll know that's pretty mild. If you want more kick, please tell them when you order. Dinner for three with starters, mains and two drinks each came to just 46 Euros. Unbeatable value but I suggest to go early before it gets too busy.
I know, you do not go to a far-east restaurant for drinking beer; but this place offers varieties of Thai and Chinese beers in bottle which acompany their food perfectly. Honestly I just had a lunch consisting of rice, vegetables and crisp duck; but they were in such a harmony which feeds my expectations for a generous lunch or dinner next time I visit Bremen; who knows when. Any visitor will love this small and carefully waited place, I assume.
Rarely I get such fresh ingredients that come to the table really fast and still hot (jaa, physicists say there is only warm... delivered. All right. Just perfect! But what bothers these Warsteiner glasses for China beer... The Brauerei compulsion is really crazy and from the day before yesterday!
Very friendly service and food is really good, especially spring rolls!
