Schüttinger Gasthausbrauerei - Bremen

When in Bremen this is a nice place for a drink and a bite. Here you can taste the German culture of beer and food. Much better than the standard restaurants you see in all places in the world. Food is good, don't expect anything high cuisine, for the type of place it is. Basic service, again this is not a Michelin star restaurant, and fairly fast. Nice typical German atmosphere, loud, lots of people and many beers. The total experience is what counts in this place.

I had the xxl monster currywurst(not for the faint hearted) and my partner got fish and chips. Both dishes where very tasty and delicious. The local craft beer was also beautiful. The staff could not be faulted, very pleasant and friendly. I would definitely return.

Despite being a relatively new pub, it has a traditional feel, and has a cosy atmosphere despite being quite large inside. You can see the large drums in which their own brand of beer is brewed. They have both light and dark unfiltered beer, which is very nice, and a range of local and German food choices, with good portion sizes and great taste. One to visit when in Bremen.

So close to all the tourist attractions in Bremen, which means this restaurant has higher prices for food and beer. Although the beer is very good here, expect to pay higher prices for everything.

Stopped here for a glass of their own beer. Nice pub, friendly staff, can see the vats making the beer. My boyfriend owns a pub in Ireland and went to look at the vats, the man mixing the beer was really nice and answered all the questions my boyfriend asked. Worth a visit
