Esquina Cantina - Brentwood

Eat! Mike, our waiter was fantastic over the top. Hopefully they can find people who want to work, we tried to eat here 2 other times before today and unfortunately they were closed due to lack of personnel. Our luck was on the GREAT page today!? Try this jewel, it's FIRE?

I really enjoyed this place. Her ambience was perfect. Not too loud, not too quiet, with decent decor. What I really liked was their creativity with the shrimps and fish tacos. You see pink on the photo, but this is the picked cauliflower and onions that were above make this concoction quite delicious. Quite recommended if you like different types of tacos a little exotic. My friend had seen something more traditional than in the photo. I can't remember the name, but he loved it.

This place is just downhill. Menu was halved (again), and ironic enough they have clipart of a burrito on the menu and no actual burritos on the menu. Salsa tasted, queso does not come with the warm flatbread, chicken enchiladas were pieces of overcooked chicken packed in room temp Mais tortillas and covered in queso. Rice had no taste. Carnitas tasted like a microwave. A server/bartender for the entire room and he worked out his butt, definitely deserves to serve better food. Corner Pub HQ has demolished this place figuratively and literally and I don't want to go there anymore.

This place needs help from the community or something. When we got in, it took a long time before the guy went to us to sit. He didn't recognize us before. I notice that the place was busy, but it has the feeling of being uncomfortable, staring with people as long as we don't know what happened. They had no music in the dining room, even though they had the speakers for it. But we could hear the kitchen music. He brought us salsa that looked absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, when we took our first bites, we thought it tasted like they put soda water in them. My husband had to see why it could taste like that and it turned out that it was salsa? Then he took our drinks orders after he mentioned that they were from most everything. I asked if he had the stuff for the Tequila chocolate drink. He said he could do it. What he brought back did not taste like Tequila, but like a strange vodka mix. He gave us the drinks at a half price (or maybe it was a happy hour) so that was at least beautiful. The food on the menu I ordered looked like it was vegan. The Taco salad. Nowhere says it has milk. So I eat, it looks good, it was half full when I got it, so it was kind of disappointing to start. When I came to BOTTOM the bowl, was it covered with acid cream? very disappointed. We made us feel very dissatisfied and wish he had been honest at the beginning of our experience that it would suck everything instead of letting us think it would be a good time. I hope they do better. But we will not return.

Delicious fish tacos with pickled veggie relish. Friendly staff. Clean restaurant. Will definitely come back!
