Once you give them your order you can trust that your order is going to be cooked shortly, depending on the crowd. I ordered my food to go so I can't comment about a dine in experience. My aga dashi (tofu in a light tempura coating and then deep fried) was incredibly hot when I arrived home. Perfectly cooked and not soggy. My main entree, chicken and salmon combo came with rice and a great veggie mixture that was below the salmon and chicken. Vegetables were cooked perfectly, not soggy and overdone which was something I was concerned about as I was taking it to go. There are many choices on the menu and the prices are not too far out of line.?
The food was decent. It was tasty and cooked well. The service was fairly quick. The only thing I did not like is the two workers arguing with each other, to the point the woman was yelling. It go to the point where I had to leave because it made me lose my appetite. I would just do take out next time, cuz really...who wants to listen to two workers arguing in their language... So ambiance got a zero for me.
Fuji Grill is a take out Japanese fast food dinner. You can eat indoors they have adequate seating (see pic . The service was prompt and the take in individual was friendly. This review is focused on the food. I am not including what we witness during our stay. In this review.Crispy Calamari 4/5When eaten immediately, the calamari breading had a very nice crunch. The seasoning was very good and the calamari rings were tender except for one small calamari ring which was over fried and hard. Except for that one little calamari ring, I would order this again.Teppanyaki Shrimp and Scallop 4/5The scallops were cooked just right. The shrimp was slightly over cooked, but not to the point where the shrimp is dry and hard. It was still very good. The Teppanyaki sauce was savory, slightly on the sweet side, and very tasty. The scallops and shrimp were placed in a bed of veggies (broccoli, onions, zucchini, and carrots . This is a very delicious selection.Teppanyaki Seafood Combo 4/5You get scallops, shrimp and salmon fillet. The reviews for the shrimp and scallops are the save as above. The salmon fillet was very good. It wasn't overly hard or dry. The Teppanyaki sauce made every seafood morsel delicious. A very good selection.Incident:We sat down at one of the tables inside the Fuji Grill. We intended to dine there after our food was prepared and served. While waiting, the female that entered Fuji Grill just after we did (seen in the pic and went behind the counter (assuming she's an employee too . It is uncleared what transpired, but the male take in person and the female started to talk to one another in their native language aggressively. The female (employee? started shouting at the male employee, both going back and forth. The male employee told the female to leave. The female remained on her phone and sat down behind the boxes. It made us feel very uncomfortable, so we decided to pack up and eat at home. A very unfortunate occurrence. Hopefully, this won't happen again when customers are present.
Food was good but not great. Although the aesthetics of the dishes were definitely on point since our dishes looked straight out of a food magazine beautiful presentation. The udon was much greasier than we expected it to be. I have gallbladder issues (can't have food that's overly greasy), so I had to set the udon on a paper towel to drain before I could eat it. The gyoza and sauce were really good! The steamed rice and chicken katsu were good too. We got the food delivered and it was still hot and packaged nicely.
I guess the food was okay, the only thing u should k ow that they will serve the food in a vox. Not a tray or a plate, but a takeout box. Will give them credit for being smart and saving money. I ordered Miso soup took around 5-10 minutes for food to arrive The soup was like reallllly plain to be honest perfect for little kids, but for people like me who enjoy extreme flavors, it wasn't that great. It had like 6 of 1 in by 1 in seaweed pieces. And like 20 to 22 pieces of tofu. The bowl was round a 16 ounce of soup bowl. And for some reason there was a powder in the soup like it would settle down if not touched. Plus there wasn't that much seasonings the table, there was pepper sauce, sinchara sauce, and soy sauce. Reminder I'm a vegetarian, and not many options. But service was nice can't say great, cuZ no one came and asked if we wanted water or drinks, we had to call them or go up to the front desk and ask. The fridge didn't have any options either not like common ones. No Pepsi, coco cola, sprite. So for that I give 3 stars.
