Vittles - Brentwood

This is the worst restaurant meal I've had in years. I had the fried cod meal. The breaking on the cod was a thick, hard shell. I have never had a worse fish fry. The fries hush puppies were equally bad. The only palatable part of the meal was the cold slaw. Will never eat at this restaurant again.

The fried chicken sandwich is so good! Love the okra and fried green tomatoes with fruit tea too. Great place for some southern cooking.

Had the turkey and dressing lunch special. Mixed bag. Turkey was the processed kind, not off a bird. Cornbread was hard, but tasty. Green beans were too salty. Good fried okra. Good mashed potatoes. Good deserts. Good service. A little pricey for lunch...$40 including tip.

I took a friend there for lunch during the work week. We were immediately greeted and seated next to a window. I had the salmon and my friend had a salad. Both were very tasty and the salmon was cooked to perfection. My water glass was never empty and the rest of the service was great! I highly recommend. We recently were looking for a new breakfast spot and remembered seeing Vittles has a weekend buffet. We stopped by on a Saturday about 30 minutes before it was over. We were very pleased with the food. The omelet bar was so good and there was plenty of everything left. The bacon was very good along with the biscuits and gravy! The price point and service were spot on. Our new go-to spot on the weekends!
